Meet Your Greens: Addressing Climate Change One Yard at a Time with Judy Preston
Sustainable landscaping is a powerful and practical way to support climate action at home and in our communities. By taking inspiration from natural ecosystems, we can adopt landscaping practices that are both beautiful and beneficial. This talk will explore simple, effective steps every property owner and community member can take to create healthier, more resilient environments, right in our own backyards.
Judy is an environmental professional and award-winning educator. She recently retired from the UConn Sea Grant Program, where she worked as the Connecticut Outreach Coordinator for the EPA’s Long Island Sound Study (a National Estuary Program). Her passion is understanding and sharing the wonders of the natural world, with an emphasis on community based conservation and sustainable landscapes. She writes the Gardening for Good column for Estuary Magazine.
