"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

Creative Giving Options
Donor Advised Funds
A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) allows you to combine giving with the benefits of tax efficiency. With a DAF, you can recommend donations to The Rockfall Foundation while enjoying immediate tax benefits. It’s an excellent way to support environmental education and conservation and ensure that your generosity aligns with your philanthropic goals.
Qualified Charitable Distributions
You can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your retirement account to The Rockfall Foundation. This tax-savvy option allows you to satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) while avoiding additional taxable income. Supporting our mission through a QCD helps advance local environmental programs and it’s a simple, impactful way to make a difference..
Gifts of Appreciated Stock
Donating appreciated stock is a smart way to support The Rockfall Foundation while minimizing your taxes. By giving stock instead of cash, you can avoid capital gains for the stock’s full market value. It’s an easy process that allows you to maximize your generosity and make a lasting impact.
Legacy Gifts
Many donors find including a charitable gift to The Rockfall Foundation in their estate plan is an effective and satisfying way to ensure a lasting impact while fulfilling their financial goals and providing for loved ones. In many cases, planned gifts can provide future tax benefits.
Two of the easiest examples of planned gifts are bequest arrangements and beneficiary designations.
Bequests
A gift in your will or living trust, known as a bequest, can be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after all other obligations are met.
Beneficiary Designations
Non-probate assets are not covered in your will or trust and instead require you to name beneficiaries. These assets include bank accounts, investment accounts, retirement accounts, donor-advised funds, or life insurance policies.
The Rockfall Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit. Tax ID: 06-6000700
