Kate Mosley of Saybrook Point Resort & Marina will share how decades of environmental stewardship have transformed the Old Saybrook property into an award-winning model for sustainable waterfront hospitality. Learn about innovative wastewater treatment, solar energy and cogeneration, sustainable marina operations, native habitats, and the Green Team’s efforts to engage guests and the community—all while protecting the Connecticut River and Long Island Sound.

About the Speaker:

Kate Mosley is the Director of Marina Operations and Green Team Leader at Saybrook Point Resort & Marina. Kate followed in the footsteps of her parents who also worked in the Marine Trades and were passionate about environmental conservation. As Green Team Leader at the resort, Kate has planned coastal cleanups, electronics & textiles recycling, and more. Kate serves on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Marine Trades Association, is co-chair of the Connecticut Young Marine Professional group, and has earned her Certified Marina Manager certification. Kate has also been recognized by Boating Industry Magazine as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” in both 2017 and 2018, and one of the “Women Making Waves” by the same publication in 2019.
