National Trails Day Hike: Bluff Head Preserve, Guilford

About our Hike:
Our hike will begin at the parking lot on route 77. From there, we will take the gradual blue-blazed trail up to the cliffs and follow the ridgeline to our viewpoint, the highest point in Guilford. The view includes the Broomstick Ledges and other properties on the east side of Route 77 protected by the Guilford Land Conservation Trust.
Once at the top, we can enjoy the view for 15-20 minutes before heading back down the same trail we came up. The total distance will be about 1.7 miles round trip. Although relatively short distance, this hike has a couple steep areas.
