2018 Annual Meeting, Grants and Awards Celebration

The Rockfall Foundation Board of Directors welcomes all to the 2018 Annual Meeting, Grants and Awards Celebration on Thursday, November 1st, at 6 pm at the deKoven House Community Center. The Environmental Awards honor individuals and groups for their contributions to the region. The Tom ODell Distinguished Service Award is given for outstanding life-long accomplishments in the area of natural resource preservation, conservation or development. Certificates of Appreciation are awarded to recognize significant environmental programs and projects.
An hors d’oeuvres and wine reception kicks off the evening at 6pm, followed by a brief meeting, the awards ceremony and grants presentations. George Moore, former Executive Director of Lyme Land Conservation Trust, will receive the Tom ODell Distinguished Service Award. Certificates of Appreciation will be presented to Town of Killingworth and the Parmelee Farm Committee; Town of Portland and the Air Line Trail Steering Committee; and East Haddam teacher Shaleen Thody. Addtionally, all 2018 grantees will have displays and representatives will be available to talk about their projects and programs. A special presentation will be given by Middletown Public Schools and Connecticut River Museum.
