SUMMARY:Rockfall Environmental Book Club
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1754579390095{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]We’re excited to introduce a new environmental education and community-building program at The Rockfall Foundation. Meeting every other month at the deKoven House\, the Rockfall Environmental Book Club will explore topics of nature\, climate\, ecology\, and sustainability. All are welcome to join! \nThe first Rockfall Environmental Book Club meeting will take place on Tuesday\, September 9\, at the deKoven House (27 Washington Street\, Middletown). We’ll be discussing Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. \nAs a botanist\, Robin Wall Kimmerer has been trained to ask questions of nature with the tools of science. As a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation\, she embraces the notion that plants and animals are our oldest teachers. In Braiding Sweetgrass\, Kimmerer brings these two lenses of knowledge together to take us on “a journey that is every bit as mythic as it is scientific\, as sacred as it is historical\, as clever as it is wise” (Elizabeth Gilbert). \n[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”18215″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]
