SUMMARY:Guided Winter Bird Walk: Hammonassett Beach State Park
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1706116258327{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]\n\nJoin Anthony Zemba\, Sr. Ecologist with LANDTECH\, and Rockfall Foundation Board member for a guided bird walk and search for seals at Hammonassett Beach State Park in Madison at 10:00 am. We will be searching for winter resident birds in various habitats that include coastal grasslands\, dunes\, salt marsh\, and coastal forests and shrublands. \nOur travels will take us on the Moraine Trail out to the end of Meigs Point to look for various waterfowl offshore\, such as loons\, gulls\, and diving sea ducks\, and any seals that may have hauled out onto their favorite offshore rocks near the mouth of the Hammonassett River. The trip is limited to 25 participants. Bring binoculars (and a telescope if you have one) and dress warmly\, as Hammonsassett can be very cold this time of year\, especially if it is windy. The trail out to Meigs Point can be rocky and uneven\, so wear appropriate footwear. \n📅 Date: Saturday\, February 17\n🕙 Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm\n📍 Location: Meet outside the Nature Center at Meigs Point\, Hammonasset State Park\n🔭 Limited to 25 participants \n\n\nAdmission: FREE \n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”16487″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row dimension=”flat” corner_style=”pointed” size=”large” letter_spacing=”0″ icon=”” icon_anim=”none” target=”_self” nofollow=”false” align=”center” button_custom_width=”0″ margin_top=”0″ margin_bottom=”15″ margin_right=”15″ outline_skin=”dark” outline_active_color=”” outline_active_text_color=”” outline_hover_bg_color=”” outline_hover_color=”” bg_color=”#01baef” btn_hover_bg=”#01baef” text_color=”light” btn_hover_txt_color=”#ffffff”][vc_column][mk_button dimension=”flat” corner_style=”rounded” size=”large” url=”https://forms.gle/F7KJ2jYvNK5KdySv6″ target=”_blank” bg_color=”#01baef” btn_hover_bg=”#01baef” btn_hover_txt_color=”#ffffff”]Sign-up Form[/mk_button][/vc_column][/vc_row]
