SUMMARY:Meet Your Greens: With Diane St John
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1674835962308{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]\n\n“Every Yard Matters” \nDiane will be speaking about the important role that home gardeners play in helping their local ecosystem heal and thrive. Everyone can make a difference with the choices they make with their outdoor landscaping. The more organic\, sustainably planted\, pollinator-friendly yards there are\, the more bees\, butterflies and birds can reside there. It is time to teach the next generation a new way of thinking about their yards and bring nature home. \nDiane St John is the manager of Natureworks Garden Center and has a BFA in Photography from Columbia College in Chicago and a Landscape Design Certificate from Naugatuck Valley Community College. After obtaining the Landscape Design Certificate from NVCC\, the UConn Master Gardener certification\, and an Accredited Organic Land Care Professional Certification through CT NOFA\, she became increasingly aware of the overuse of synthetic chemicals on lawns and gardens. She became a passionate educator of organic land care practices and saw the decline of the monarch butterfly as a symbol of educating the public on why organic methods are so important. She hopes to inspire others to stop the use of chemicals at home and create a safe\, beautiful\, healthy environment for all. \nJoin us on Thursday\, February 16\, at Perk of Main at 5:30 PM. \n\n\nWearing a mask is optional. \nSign-up is not required but helps us better plan the event. \n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”15238″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row dimension=”flat” corner_style=”pointed” size=”large” letter_spacing=”0″ icon=”” icon_anim=”none” target=”_self” nofollow=”false” align=”center” button_custom_width=”0″ margin_top=”0″ margin_bottom=”15″ margin_right=”15″ outline_skin=”dark” outline_active_color=”” outline_active_text_color=”” outline_hover_bg_color=”” outline_hover_color=”” bg_color=”#01baef” btn_hover_bg=”#01baef” text_color=”light” btn_hover_txt_color=”#ffffff”][vc_column][mk_button dimension=”flat” corner_style=”rounded” size=”large” url=”https://forms.gle/uaMgXW9w7xna5hoQ8″ target=”_blank” bg_color=”#01baef” btn_hover_bg=”#01baef” btn_hover_txt_color=”#ffffff”]Sign-up Form[/mk_button][/vc_column][/vc_row]
