SUMMARY:Migration Bird Walk At Hammonasset Beach State Park
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1666279204686{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]\nHammonasset Beach State Park is arguably among the top five birding destinations in the state and contains one of Connecticut’s most important natural areas with a variety of coastal habitats\, including dunes\, rocky headlands\, coastal forest\, coastal shrublands\, old fields\, and salt marsh habitats in addition to the open waters of Long Island Sound. \nNovember is a great month to spot birds that are generally not in our area. Join us for a bird walk around Meigs Point and Willard Island. Let’s see how many different species we can find. \nJoin Anthony Zemba (Certified Ecologist with Land Tech Consultants and Rockfall Foundation board member)\, who will guide the tour. Mr. Zemba previously held the Director of Conservation Services position with the Connecticut Audubon Society.
