This is a chance to get your kids (and yourselves) off your phones\, TVs\, and computers\, and enjoying each others’ companies\, reading\, playing\, and the outdoors. The Rockfall Foundation is pleased to have helped organize 17 events for Screen-Free Week in Middletown to get you and your children off their screens and having fun. Play a board game\, listen to a world-renowned storyteller\, play in a museum\, take a karate\, yoga or dance class\, go for a hike\, and more! \nCheck out the full calendar of fun events below that will help you rediscover the joys beyond the screen. All events are FREE unless otherwise noted. Join us for drinks\, snacks\, and conversation 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Our guest speaker will be Jennifer Kleindienst\, Sustainability Director at Wesleyan University since 2012.  Jen will share successes and challenges of promoting sustainability on campus\, including student engagement\, composting\, promoting reusables\, and integrating sustainability into the curriculum. \nCinder + Salt designs and creates eco-friendly and sustainable products that are innovative\, stylish and fun\, and made from clean\, reusable waste with minimal carbon footprint. \nJoin us for socializing and to hear the guest speaker! An official location of Green Drinks International\, this informal monthly gathering of people drawn from the community\, nonprofit groups and the business world offers time to brainstorm ideas and plant seeds for collaboration.
