Wadsworth\, the Rockfall Foundation invites non-profit organizations\, municipalities\, and schools in the Lower Connecticut River Valley to apply for grants through the Foundation’s annual program. The Foundation seeks to support projects that preserve and enhance the environment in the Lower Connecticut River Valley and to increase public knowledge of and respect for its natural resources. Projects that demonstrate new and imaginative ways to achieve this are encouraged. New and returning applicants will learn about requirements of the application\, grantee expectations\, and may ask questions about the process. Brainerd Memorial Library\, The Rockfall Foundation\, and Adopt A Park Volunteers will be working together at Haddam Meadows State Park to clean up trash and invasive plants. This event will be held in conjunction with the Connecticut River Conservancy’s Source to Sea annual cleanup. Please meet in the open area to the left of the boat launch.\nAdults and youths are encouraged to participate. Youths will need to be accompanied by an adult. Please dress appropriately for the weather\, bring garden loppers or a saw\, water and gloves.
